Your privacy is critically important to us. At United Medical Instruments (UMI) we have a few fundamental principles:

Why We Gather Technical Data That is Non-Personally-Identifying Information

UMI collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers and web analytics software typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each website visitor request. UMI’s purpose in collecting this information is only for the purpose of better understanding how UMI’s visitors use its website so we may continue to optimize our website’s content and enhance your experience while visiting it.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to UMI’s websites choose to interact with UMI in ways that require UMI to gather personally-identifying information through online forms and/or shopping carts. The amount and type of information that UMI gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. Those who engage in transactions with UMI are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. What Does UMI Do With Your Information?

If you are a registered user of an UMI website and have supplied your email address, UMI may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with UMI and our products. All email communications provide standardized opt-out functions so you may choose not to receive future communications from UMI. We primarily use our blogs and opt-in newsletters to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum.

As part of the shopping order process on our website, the following information is collected from shoppers: Name Shipping/Billing Address Email address Phone number Credit/Debit Card Information. This information is only used to fill your order, and or contact you if a question arises regarding that order.

Business Transfers

If UMI, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that UMI goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquiror of UMI may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
